When one becomes a parent, one develops new skills and new levels of existing skills…

When the kids are very young, the parent develops the art of diversion every time his child wants something he/she shouldn’t get……

When the kids grow up (and it happens very very quickly), the parent develops the art of negotiation…… and I must admit, negotiations are though and become more and more difficult….

Looking at our kids can teach us some ways to conduct business….

Think about it, when our kids want something, there is no one more focused than them, no one more persistent then them, no one more determent than them.

They know exactly what they want and they will not give up until they get it.

They will try various ways to persuade, they will attack the situation from many angels, they will use emotional blackmail…… they will be very creative in what they will do and say and who they will use for help. But most of all, they will just not give up!

I think we could learn from that when coming to do business……

That raises a question: is a parent a better business person than a one that doesn’t have kids?
